Gender Approaches to Agricultural Extension Practices Course by Indepth Research Services (IRES) 3-7/9/18 Nairobi, Kenya
Gender sensitivity in agricultural practices and extension is an important area that affects people of all walks in life. It entails gender equity, gender roles and further implies that roles should not be ascribed for instance to the females alone, or the males exclusively as this will amount to set back to the progress of agriculture. This training highlights such gender related issues and presents strategies for meeting them. We explore various ways of delivery of agricultural extension services in a way that improves gender-equitable service provision.
